Type 1 Solar Pipe Insulation won't break down when exposed to sunlight. No protective coating is required in outdoor applications.

Type 1 Solar Pipe Insulation resists the decomposition moisture causes in other types of closed-cell elastomeric insulation.

Type 1 Solar Pipe Insulation has a .245 k-factor, offering the best insulation value for closed-cell elastomeric insulation.

Type 1 Solar Pipe Insulation does NOT lose its flexibility in cold temperatures.

Type 1 Solar Pipe Insulation resists the aging effect caused by exposure to temperature extremes. TYPE 1 INSULATION HAS AN UPPER TEMPERATURE LIMIT OF 300ºF, more than 30º higher than other closed-cell elastomeric insulation products.

Type 1 Solar Pipe Insulation has an ASTM flame and smoke rating of 25/50 through 2-inch thickness.
